What are good ideas for a winter sweet 16 on a small budget?
Theme Party: Have a sock hop.

The dance studio I worked for had these about once a year and tons of people came. You have everyone dress like the fifties, have fifties tunes mixed in with your other dance music, have a hula hoop contest (a young hunky guy won ours-and no, he wasn't gay) a bubble gum blowing contest and Limbo contest. Hang singles (45s) from the ceiling and use old record album covers on the walls. If you have any singers in your group have them put together a doo-wop number, or lip sync a fifties tune for entertainment. With choreography.

This has always been a proven winner for us.
Reply:go to a really nice restaurant in your area or go ice skating and have a pic-nic with hot coco and make smores(yes, i know it would be cold but hopefully u would be bundled up really good). other than that i have no idea. good luck
Reply:Everyones idea of breaking the bank is different....But if you have 9 friends and ask them each to throw 20 bucks towards the party...and your parents match it....That would be enough for a limo full of snacks and sparkling apple juice {there are wine glasses in there!}....Then just bring all your best tunes and some bubbles to blow out the sunroof at the boys....360 bucks..That should get you 2 or 3 hours of tunes and cruisen!....Have fun!
Reply:hey, you can rent out a local public building for a night and have a bunch of friends come and you could have a dance.
