Cheap sweet 16 ideas?
Inexpensive sweet 16 birthday

A house party

An indoor house party after dinner time is a fun, inexpensive option. Serve snack foods and plenty of soft drinks throughout the evening. If you have the budget for it, bring out something heartier around 11p.m. or midnight such as submarine sandwiches, pizza or burgers. Have your sound system set up in the main party area with plenty of music selections. Make a few active board games available such as Pictionary or even Twister.

Servings

A Huge birthday cake, veggie and dip trays, little pizza bites, soft drinks, water, and juices.

Music set up

- Have a sound system in each of the party rooms.

- Have music videos set to play on TV in one of the rooms

Party favors

- send guest home with "snack attack packs." Include single serving snacks, cookies, and chocolate bars
Reply:chips, soda, pizza...if you have a mp3/ipod/cd players you can get speakers to play the music....decorations - streamers and balloons in your selected colors...
Reply:If you're in Wisconsin, you have to have cheese, of course! A cheese try with crackers and sausage goes a long way. The thing I always make for parties is my taco dip, and there's never any left over. On a platter you spread out a brick of cream cheese. Then you smear some taco sauce on top of the cheese. Then you sprinkle on lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese and other taco toppings you like. Serve with chips. You can also have a side of salsa. You can keep beverage prices down if you buy 2 liter bottles and have cups.

To get decorations cheap head for Factory Card Outlet. I'm sure you have a friend with an ipod if you don't have one yourself, you could just create a play list of great songs and the connect the ipod up to your stereo.
Reply:Chips and Dip

Pizza

Soda

Water

Ice

Keep it simple and just put up streamers and balloons...

Have friends bring cds and play them on your stereo...
