Create my perfect sweet sixteen on a budget?

10 Points - My birthday is in December, but I'd gladly celebrate it in the summer or winter. I live around Buffalo NewYork; I was thinking a resturant for a few of my friends - nothing crazy because I'm not a partier. Something fancy but not $20 a plate? Idk, maybe like 10 girls? I'm looking for someone to research for a pretty resturant for us girls for my birthday. Any other like, tips I should do for the invitations, or dressing up, would be appriciated. :) Thaaaankyou from the very bottom of my heart :D [

Create my perfect sweet sixteen on a budget?
I have lots of Ideas!! Love planning for parties yay!

First you have to make a list for the party. Think of who you want to invite. How many people, Time/Date/place/. Is the party going to be casual dress or is it a formal party. What is the theme of your party. Is it coed or all girls. Think of what type of food youre gonna have. How long the party will last. If it rains/snows/etc.. what will you do if its outside. Do you have enough space for all your guests to move inside. ok so here are a few ideas.

* You could do a winter theme if it snows in your area of couse im guessing it does. I live in massachuestts so I know how the wheather is around here not very good sometimes. ok anyway... I was thinking if you could rent a hall (or even do this in your back yard its cheaper ) and have a winter/or summer ball and the theme could be one enchanted night!! and have every one dress up in a ball gown and have sparkles and glittery things and just have the function hall or your back yard (during the night) so when the guest walk in it will feel like winter with the sparkles acting as if it were "Snow". Maybe you could get allllllooooot of sparkly sheet fabric at the craft store or walmarts craft section and pin it up on the walls of the function hall or around the yard like a fence or around the house . Have those little clear christmas lights strung on the ceiling for stars. Dress the tables with white or black linnens or plastic table cloths and just have a buffet style with soda and water for beverages. For dessert just maybe a cake and a some cookies. Also some snack foods.

*Invitations- What ever you want go with. Maybe you know someone who can print them out on their own computer this will save money. Or invite your girls by email or phone. When they arrive have a check list so no one whose not invited wont be able to get in with out getting by the person whose holding the checklist (if youre in the function hall). If they are on the list give them something like a feather or a idk something that says i was invited. just so you and your friends know that just these people are allowed in the party and no one else. If this isnt what you have in mind then keep reading ;)

*If its a restraunt your interested in Have your friends meet at a certain restraunt and then afterwards go to your home and have a dance revolution party. Or just dance and have fun.

*Another great idea could be a pool party at your local YMCA ask if you can rent out the pool for 2 hours or so and then go back to your home and enjoy cake and food. Your theme if its in the summer could be a luau and have a bbq. Have everyone dress in hawiian theme clothing and have hawiian music. Also try and rent a blow up water slide.

*Another great thing to do is to have a bouncy house. I know its usually for kids but who cares. There fun an im sure once you and your friends are in there jumping you wont even notice :) Have a bbq or buffet style lunch or dinner and cake and snacks and soda. It will be fun. and cheaper if you cant afford a hall. Halls can be quite expensive.

*You can just supply the music on a boom box with music of your choice.

Its not how much you spend on a bday but how much fun you have knowing that you will be having a blast with friends and family. HAVE FUN!!
Reply:Skip the party and pocket the cash instead. Seriously, by the time you are 16 years and 4 days old, you'll realize that turning Sweet Sixteen is such a non-event, you'll regret wasting your money on it.
