What little things make you happy?

e.g. apple pie, the works of Flaubert, buying new clothes, sweet lemon tea, swimming in the ocean in the middle of winter. preferably more specific stuff than 'friends' etc, cos that doesn't mean much!

What little things make you happy?

Reply:Cant beat seeing someone else smile.
Reply:the smell of a baby's head, the sound of a bell signalling the end of school, the change of winter to spring, the morning dew on the lawn, receiving an email from an old friend. None of these examples have anything to do with money. Money in my view can make you happy for a little while but the feeling does not last.

Value lies in everything that is free life.
Reply:Watching the waves rolling on the beach!! Just lights me up! Then I forget everything around me and roll with it
Reply:clear blue skies, a bird's song, the velvet sky filled with stars, sunrise, sunset, kisses %26amp; hugs
Reply:The smile on a little child's face when you make a funny face at them =)
Reply:wow---great question! :-) I could type quite a list, as the "little things" are what truly make me happiest.

Watching my son sleep has got to be right up at the top of the list (he's almost 9, so during the day he's pretty much a blur! LOL! But when he's sleeping, sometimes just staring at him, touching his face like I did when he was a baby, hearing him breathe....it brings me to tears.)

Another recent example----%26amp; this is gonna sound pretty twisted, I'm sure----but it touched me. My fiance %26amp; I bought a home together last year. SOmewhere along the line, I evidently made the comment that I don't like the toilet seat in our bathroom. We were shopping the other day @ Home Depot, %26amp; he surprised me with one of those nice, cushy toilet seats!!! :-) :-) LOL! He does stuff like that alot; coming home w/ some little thing---usually something small that I'd forgotten I ever mentioned.

There are myriad little things on a daily basis that make me happy.

Guess I'm pretty blessed.
Reply:Sunshine on my face, my kids faces on Christams Morning, (well any morning...) a good taco, puppies and kittens, beautiful flowers, my Christmas tree after we decorate it, seeing the ocean... I could go on and on.
Reply:being able to help children learn, jasmine tea, blowing bubbles.

" eye candy" .
Reply:I get a feeling of happiness when something makes me more secure about my future. It could be a financial reward or job I get. It could also be a complement or action by my girl friend that makes me more secure about the relationship. Hot summer like we are having now also makes me happy.
Reply:Checking the obituaries and finding I'm not in them!
Reply:Big hugs and kisses from my boyfriend, stroking a fluffy animal, the beach in winter, splashing in puddles, walks in the woods, reading a great book, film editing.....list truly goes on!
Reply:Depends on what you class as little and if they make you happy doesn't that make them big things.

The big things that make me happy are:

when my sons smile at me in the morning

going for a walk in the rain

The sweet smell of summer.

going for a paddle in autumn

a kiss from my partner when he goes to work

fresh strawberries picked from my garden.
